Sadly, Linda (Hukill) Osborne, Class of 1979, passed away peacefully in January. Linda was a strong woman of faith and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She spent many years working in long term care and as a hospice aid. She also volunteered in the Awana program and as a Sunday school teacher at Westside Church.
Linda and other passed Bulldogs are memorialized with a school picture at

📸Pics from 2024's Alumni Night at Hairspray. Every seat that had a gold envelope signified a ticket bought by an alum. While setting up the auditorium with the special envelopes containing goodies just for Burke alumni, we saw a couple cast members peek their faces through the curtains, then a few more, and more and more! We could hear how excited they were to see ALL THE GOLD ENVELOPES - they knew it would be a full house and that BURKE ALUMNI were there to support them!
Let's do it again April 10th!🖤💛

Congratulations to Michaela Wallerstedt, Class of 2005 on her induction into the OPS Athletic Hall of Fame! Michaela, a two-time Gatorade Athlete of the Year in track and field, set state records in both the shot put and discus, including the still-standing Class A all-time and Metro Conference records in the girls discus. 🏆
Pictured with Michaela is Coach Bill Scarborough (Scar!), who was inducted into the OPS Athletic Hall of Fame in 2025.
Another honoree connected to Burke is Toba Cohen-Dunning. She is this year’s contributor honoree for her leadership in multiple multimillion-dollar athletics facility improvement projects during her 20-year tenure as executive director of the Omaha Public Schools Foundation. Most recently, she played a key role in the awesome Burke Stadium renovation!
Pictured with Toba is Clara Ohr, Class of 1989!
Way to go, Bulldogs!🖤💛
