We're very sad to report that Bob Smyser, Class of 1981, passed away last week.
A Celebration of Life for Bob Bob M. Smyser has been set for Saturday February 28th in Gerald, Mo hosted by his wife, Theresa, at their home. If you would like the address, please DM or put in the comments and we'll privately message the address.
From Bob's wife: Bob's family invites all family and friends to celebrate this beautiful loving humorous man. Anyone who has ever touched lives with him. I know he impacted so many past and present. We never tire of the stories. It's time to share all those stories together. So please travel in. Bring the family and let's all let him feel that love because that is what he would have wanted. Hope to see you all there.
Bob and other passed Bulldogs are memorialized with school pics at: burkehighalumni.com/deceased-alumni/
Our thoughts are with all that knew Bob🖤💛

In honor of President's Day, here are all of Burke's past class presidents from 1964-2026. Thank you for all you do for your classes!🖤💛 #BurkeAlumni #BurkePride www.BurkeHighAlumni.com
👋Let’s welcome our newest Burke Class President, Sebastian Austin, Class of 2026!
At Burke, Sebastian has been deeply involved in school life through Senior Senate, NHS, orchestra, GeoGuessr Club, and Burke Swim and Dive, where he serves as a team captain. Outside of school, he works as a lifeguard and enjoys lifting, swimming, and—like many of us—watching Instagram reels.
Sebastian’s favorite classes have been AP Government, AP Research, AP Biology, and orchestra. After graduation, he plans to study political science, public policy, or business, with the goal of pursuing a career in law or public policy. Becoming Burke Class President is just the first step in what promises to be an impactful future in leadership and public service.
